Writing Workshop and Book Launch

WomenWriting & In Other Words present:

Writing Alone Together:
Journaling Within a Circle of Women Workshop
and Writing Alone Together Book Launch

on Sunday, April 27, 2014  1-4 pm

at  In Other Words Feminist Community Center
corner of N. Williams and Killingsworth
Portland, Oregon

Wendy Judith Cutler, Teacher, Writer and Longtime Lesbian-Feminist Supporter of IOW, will facilitate a writing workshop based upon the book she has co-written (with Ahava Shira and Lynda Monk of Salt Spring Island, British Columbia, where she now lives):  Writing Alone Together: Journaling Within a Circle of Women for Creativity, Compassion and Connection.

Join a nourishing, explorative and tender circle of women as you are guided into personal writing, deep listening, sharing and witnessing as we write alone and together. Within this sacred space, we will ignite our creativity, engage our compassion and deepen connections with one another and our authentic selves. The workshop will take place from 1-3pm and the book launch from 3-4pm. Come for the workshop and stay for the book launch. Or come only for one or the other. Refreshments will be served.

Peruse the Feminist Archives as well and discover gems of our feminist hestories. Half of the proceeds will be donated to the Feminist Archives. (Wendy hopes that old friends and past students, colleagues and sister-activists will come to share in this celebration and honouring of our herstories together.)
